Festivities in the old forge – la forge du Jaegerthal

A dream has come true.

For many years I had hoped that we might succeed in kissing the history-steeped Jaegerthal awake from its Sleeping Beauty slumber. Now it seems to have succeeded.

With the temporary art exhibitions, summer festivals and the show garden of Domaine Jaegerthal, the hamlet of “Jaegerthal” developed into a cultural gem. For more than three years now, concerts, opera performances and theatre events have also been held during the summer months in the old “Forge du Jaegerthal” dating from 1684.

The industrial halls of the de Dietrich family, steeped in history, could not be better suited for this.

Under the direction of Céline Mellon, a gifted opera singer, it has been possible in recent years to engage ever new artists from Milan, but also regional musicians and singers. So it is not surprising that the events in the old Forge enjoy greater popularity every year.

A cultural enrichment for the guests of Domaine Jaegerthal who like to combine a stay in the guest houses with a concert evening in the Forge.

These concerts are enjoyed not only by our guests and local residents, but also by music lovers from further afield, as far as Strasbourg and Baden-Baden, who appreciate this enrichment.
