“East Meets West” Show Garden

For the design, I orientated myself on the circumstances, the surroundings, the castle park, an already existing bamboo grove, the demands of the visitors, the usability and the classical garden design from the time of the princely Metternich family – an English landscape park – all this had to be combined with the design inspirations of Japanese garden design. A particular challenge here was to ensure that the garden did not appear too alien. The result is a harmonious mix that does not alienate the viewer or visitor. Once the new trees have reached the height and habitus I wanted, there will be a harmonious and almost flowing transition from the newly created visitor magnet, the “East meets West” garden, and the traditional, English parkland.
